Each neighborhood of the city of Aguascalientes consists of its own church and plaza. The four founding districts of the historic center are: El Barrio Encino, initially called Barrio de Triana. This neighborhood is the oldest and has the temple of the Black Christ of Encino, which is venerated year after year. The Barrio del San Marcos dates from the beginning of the 17th century and it is here where the National Fair of San Marcos is celebrated, its temple and its garden square have the same name Temple and Garden of San Marcos, the Calaveras Festival is also celebrated in this neighborhood. The Barrio de Guadalupe had its beginnings in the second half of the 18th century, its temple of Guadalupe with a baroque style is considered a historical treasure and its garden surrounded by ash and alamos. The Barrio de la Estación is considered the most recent and modern on Alameda Avenue, here we find the Los Arquitos Cultural Center where workshops and conferences are held continuously.
